It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend, founding committee member and treasurer, Alastair Holmes
Amongst many other accolades Inc. his tenure as Pride In Football Treasurer. In 2016, Alastair was awarded the Freedom of the City of London an incredible honour, though in typical Al fashion, he was far too modest to make much of it.
He was a mentor, a source of wisdom and a guiding presence to so many. His kindness, sharp wit and unwavering integrity made him someone we all looked up to. He touched the lives of many, more than he ever could have envisaged.
We have lost one of our own. Alastair went through life, with quiet dignity and strength. Our Pride Of Irons meet ups will never be the same without him.
Thank you, Alastair. You will be forever missed and forever remembered ⚒️
Our deepest condolences to his friends and family.
